Better Check Your Old Edits

I have a 3 step storage file system with identical directories. My working directory is an internal 2tb drive. As files are finished/age, they are moved to an external 8tb drive. From there the unneeded duplicates are deleted, and the really old moved to an online archive drive.

I recently was going through old files to build a slide show. Browsing in LR Library module, the images looked off?? At first I thought it was bad editing on my part, but when I opened them in the Develop Module, a Warning Tab popped up top right, that said LR needed to update AI settings. Clicking on the warning tab updated the file using the newest AI settings and instantly corrected the image.

I haven't had time to fully research this to see if it can be performed as a batch. Anyone come across this yet?
