Better deals after christmas?

Do the retailers look to offload product after christmas with steep discounts? I am looking at Canon T3i or 60D and getting an iMac/high end PC. Does it benefit me any to get them right after christmas? or no different and just get it as soon as I can?

I think it depends on where you go. I don't find boxing day deals to be extremely cheaper but some places have great deals. My friend got a $500 laptop for $200 and we got a $1600 tv for $1050 and my brother got a xs, batter grip, extra battery and canon bag for $400 from future shop (at the time the xs was one of the newer rebels so was a good deal).

I've heard that cameras go on sale during Feb because that's when the new models come out, so the "old" ones get marked down/pushed out
