Some of these had to be hand held at 1/60 with a 80-200mm f2.8 Nikkor, mostly shot at 200mm, and a D50 body on a very damp drizzly overcast miserable weather night so I apologize for some being not as tack sharp as I would like.

That being said opening day has become a quick tradition here in town.

    Thanks for viewing.

I must agree with Duncan. They are so large and scrolling through this page was starting to get where it was just not worth it. If you put all of your photos into one post, it really makes it easier on the viewer.
With that said, i really like the shooting firework photo.

You will see huge leads and such at this level sometimes...if you notice the 2nd baseman is AWOL.

A ball, this level, is 3 notches up from high school level and 3 notches below the big leagues.

People are good enough to astounding at moments yet still miserable at other times. In person it's close enough to a major league game to be quite entertaining for a baseball nut and ex player like myself. The biggest difference is the bonehead play that you see a player make once a month at the big league level you will see made here once a week...maybe twice.

That being said it's 10 minutes from the house, premium tix are $8, parking is $5, food is reasonable and the lines stay short by having tons of concessions stands, and we have season tix from the beginning.
