Big Newbie... Pics of my babies.. any suggestions?

I'm super new at this whole photography thing. I just want to be able to take nice "frame worthy" pictures of my kids. Any suggestions? :blushing:

It would be helpful to know how you're shooting. Are you using a DSLR? Do you know how to shoot in manual or one of the priority modes?

Pic #3, keep the light behind you. You have the sun in your lense.

Yes, spend some time using Google Image, or searching Flickr and find images that you like the general composition of; try and recreate those. These images show a lot of classic beginner "mistakes", such as being too close to the subject, inappropriate lighting, "up the nose" compositions, etc. They're a start, but I think a little more practice is needed before you're frame-worthy.

My suggestion is to learn about light and how it relates to photography. What affects it's appearance and how you can control that.

Thanks for the suggestions... I'm using an Olympus PEN E-PM1 ... I've only had it for a few days.. I have to get some books and try to figure all this out...
