Bird Banding

If you have an interest in birds, but have never been to a banding you are missing out. It is a wonderful experience & makes for some excellent photography. You really get to learn about the birds in your area & see their incredible details

Neat shots, especially the female Cardinal. I've always wanted to see a bird banding but around here they're really really early in the morning, unfortunately for me (night person).

BlackSheep yeah they are really early. We have been trying to do Saw-Whet Owl bandings & those are at night [emoji1]

I spend a lot of time at a banding station near me. Wonderful staff who are more than happy to answer questions when they aren't busy. I've learned so much from them.

Also my very firs time seeing a long earned owl.
