Bird Photographers - need your help

I live in South Central Idaho. Many feeders out, and mostly see Finches. Saw one today that I've never seen before and I can't find anything on the web...

Appeared to be a finch, but possibly a grosbeak. Had the body color of a Goldfinch - had the stripes on the black/dark wings, but .... a beautiful bright blue head. Turquoise blue - just the head...

Any suggestions? - Came and went before I could get the camera out..... but I'm prepared now if he returns.. lots of good food and water, perhaps he'll stick around..

maybe a painted bunting? I don't know of any birds, at least not resident birds (tropical species might), that are bright yellow with bright blue heads.

I have a couple of thoughts, but, from your description, the closest thing I can think of is a Northern Parula, member of the Warblers. If this is it, and you do see it again, definitely attempt a photo.... considered rare in the west half of the US.
