After seeing some of the bird posts, I was inspired to give it a try. It's so much harder than it looks but I had so much fun sitting on the deck all weekend and getting to know the birds that are native to the area. Here are a few...c & c always appreciated:

I'm glad you've been having fun. I just recently got started shooting birds and have been loving the time with my daughter out hunting them and learning the local birding spots.

I like the bird in pic #1 (possibly cause I don't see blue colored birds around here ... almost ever). But I like the final shot the best with the leaves behind the bird and its pose out on that branch tip. I just wish he'd have decided to look down at you for the perspective. (but they never seem to do that, do they?)

Thank you so much....these are all in my yard but I think I will start checking into birding spots too. It would be fun to capture a bigger variety. I'm from California, land of the brown and black birds, so when I moved to the east I became completely fascinated with the beautiful birds.


I waited forever to get the little guy to look down at me! I guess he was feeling camera shy
