Birt Bike Races

I was invited out to take some photos for a local Dirtbike club. Was my first time doing this type of thing, and I had no advance notice. C&C is greatly appreciated.

I love all of these shots. I have a friend who's son (8 years old) rides a dirt bike in races. And i would love to get some action shots like these.

What equipment did you use if you don't mind be asking?

All the shots are great, #1 is nice but a little confusing, #2 is a little off balance, yet very nice, #3 is perfect

a little tech info would be nice !

All shot with a D80 and my 85 (1.8) or my 35-70 (2.8). ISO between 200 and 800, f8-ish and 1/500 to 1/640 sec shutter.

In the first one, there are actually 2 other riders in there, but the images I posted are pretty low res, so they are hard to see.

Here is one more- just for fun - and was used in the newsletter.

Nice Shots! I like #2 and #3 a lot. The first one was harder for me to really see what is going on in. It might just have been me though......
