Shutter: 1/125
Aperture: f/5.6
Focal: 85mm (crop factor 1.6: 136mm)
ISO: 320

Camera: Canon EOS 550D
Lens: Canon EF-S 17-85mm IS USM

The photo was taken at a bar, so it is beer that you see in the bokeh on the right side :)

I kind of am getting distracted by the bokeh on the right and whatever is causing the blur/washing out on the left. They actually are intruding onto the subject, which isn't a good thing, imho.I like the expression you captured a lot though. Probably wold have shot less up the nose, angle wise. Just a noob's opinion though.

If it was posed, I probably would have had him take the sunglasses off. But if it's candid, which it seems like, well that's your subject. Though I'm never a fan of the sunglasses on the top of the head look.

Thank you, I appreciate your feedback :) I agree with what you are saying, and I see what you mean by it interfering with the subject ;) And it is not posed, just sitting at the bar waiting for somebody!

yeah, candids can be so fulfilling and awesome, yet frustrating, because you get these fantastic aspects that you're after, that you could never really get in a posed shot, but inevitably there are just 1-2 little aspects of the shot that aren't quite what you want. When you do perfectly nail that candid though, wow.

I would have moved the beer mug, actually.

I love the shot, but the blur on the right is actually blocking for me.

His expression is awesome, and for a random candid, awesome.
