Black and white?

I think it was the shadow that made it look upside down before (when it actually wasn't). The pipes are above the lights, so the shadow was on the ceiling... To me, it looks much more natural with the shadow on the 'floor'.

It's also kinda ambiguous, where you can't really tell for sure which way is up anyway.

Yeah very true, whatever looks good is fine to me.
