Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Hi,

I have a Canon EOS 60D, my pictures represent a small black stain. I've cleaned the sensor with a blower and a cleaning kit for cameras but the stain remains.
Any advice is welcome.
Thank you

Sample shots? :)

Hi Compaq, satin spotted on the picture. Thank you

Shot available in my gallery showing the stain

Looks like dust.

Used a blower and pen brush but no success. Can I clean the sensor because I see nothing on the mirror?

You can clean the sensor. Buy the proper little swabs, or make your own, look on the internet to tell you how. But I get sneaking suspicion that you have been cleaning the mirror and not the sensor. Anything you see on the mirror does not make it to the photo. The mirror flips up out of the way when the exposure is being made.

If Patrice is correct, you need to go into your settings menu in camera and see if you can lock the mirror up for cleaning. You have a Canon 60D which I'll assume is pretty much the same as my 40D in menu layout. Here's how I do it:

Yellow tool #2 (with two dots on it) => Sensor cleaning => Clean Manually => Answer "OK" when the camera explains that mirror lockup will be used. Just turn the camera off when you're done, that's what my camera says, and the mirror will pop back into position.

You were right I was cleaning the mirror and not the sensor. No more black stain.
Thank you guys for the advise. Back to photo shooting :-)
