Black & White Vancouver C&C

I took this shot from the opposite side of Vancouver. My go at a black and white version but I'm not quite satisfied...thoughts?

I think I ruined the edit with the blurred water. Eh.

I think where you went wrong in the edit was by turning all of detail in the buildings into black nothingness. Id go for something a little more like this:

Yeah the main edit isn't doing anything for me. Like stated and fixxed you got too much dead space, the water and the sky, try and get closer with a small as focal length as possible try to catch a photo of Science world from the board walk. You may be able to get the olympic village in there too.

Thank you for the input, I think I went a bit over the top. Initially, all I wanted to do was to bring out contrast between the sky & skyline, and at the same time remove noise. I guess I kinda lost myself in there somewhere, haha. But I really do love the crop, thanks!
