I can hardly tell just how blue his eyes are because of the processing (not my style) but the 4th one is better as far as color goes.

He is cute!

I do love the hazy look! I specifically shot these to get the haze (in camera!).

My monitor is calibrated correctly and these look to be way overexposed.

Personally, I think you may have overdone the "hazy" look.. as it really distracts from the subject. As mentioned.. you can't even see blue eyes, in most of the shots above... all you see is bright haze! Especially in 1 and 3. Have to say you normally do much better processing too.....

Thanks charlie! You know, I really did struggle with these because the baby is SOOOOO pale and naturally blueish. I had to add extra warmth to get him to look not so ghostly! What would you suggest doing?

hmmm...the skin tones look over exposed? Or just the image itself seems too bright? I usually edit so the skin tones look right. Guess I messed up this shoot

okay peoples. I am having a super hard time with these! I brought down the exposure and deleted my tone curve adjustments. My husband (who also didn't love the originals) says he likes this look better. I for some reason like my original edit. I just don't like how he looks so dull and he seems underexposed. IDK. Help!

(I think this is a different photo but I edited them all the same)

Primarily images 1 and 3. To me, they appear altogether too overexposed and lack sufficient contrast. I prefer more contrast, but that's just my personal preference.

he is backlit... and it doesn't look like you did much fill (no catchlights in his eyes). If you have a baby that is already pale and bluish... I would not shoot them backlit, unless I did some good fill light on them (I would use flash... although even reflectors would help). Based on the amount of "haze" in some of your shots... I would say the baby was underexposed a bit (very strongly backlit).

The last edit is an improvement.

Okay thanks guys! I re-edited them all to bring down exposure and contrast. I do think they look better, after staring at them for hours and hours! Yeah, I think I messed up while shooting these. I should have used my speedlight for fill but it is so hard when your 'subject' is constantly on the move! We already have a re-shoot planned to get some family shots so I will try some new things then.
