I think the look is more from being a juvenile than from molting. This one is the worst Ive seen. Looks like someone dangled its head over a campfire. My thanksgiving turkey looks better than this after 6 hours in the oven. But I gotta say I really get a chuckle each time I look at it. Im sure its mother is ashamed.
