I know these photos sort of lack subject matter..but was wondering what you guys think of the overall composition.

I prefer the composition of the second photo. #1 seems too cluttered in the middle where all the tree trunks merge into one lump.

I'm returning to the site on saturday. Hopefully i'll find something that adds another dimension to the shot, perhaps a nice rabit or something.
