Boat and Sunset C & C welcome!

Hi guys,

The pictures below are the first time I took using my DSLR camera. What do you guys think about? what do I have to improve?
C & C are very welcome.

I like them, except I prefer landscapes in landscape orientation. The wider persepective gives the landscape a more dramatic effect.

On #1 I might have framed the shot with a little more breathing room around the boat on the left and the bottom - there's nothing particularly interesting on the other side of the frame that you're trying to capture, and it would give the shot a less cramped feel. Specifically, I'd probably center the boat vertically, but leave it off-center horizontally such that the mast would lie on the first third. See Rule of thirds - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia just in case you haven't heard of that before.

I like #2 quite a bit!

These are nice. I particularly like #1 and actually like boat in the corner like that.

I got it, itf. In this case, I just tried to get more focus on the boat and the reflection of the sun.
Next shot should be more look into the wider perspective to get more space.

Thanks orion, seems my understanding of Rule of thirds needs to be improved..
