the lil seaweed's a bit of a distraction and I was curious to see how it would look in B&W...hope you don't mind

Well, the seaweed doesn't bother me because it's part and parcel of the seaside landscape and matches up nicely with what we see beneath the shallow water. I do like the colors.

I don't like the crop so much of Mathius13's version because it has cut out the play of reflection between the little boat and the larger one. However, I may have cloned out that small patch on the lower right. Also, that B&W has too much mid-tone grey.

I think that one other thing should be addressed IMO. DOF. I think I may have preferred to have the DOF end just past the last boat, having all in focus or either have the last two boats more OOF.

...and that's a mighty large image you have there, sir. ;~)
