But this isn't the place to get a pat on the back. You're going to hear what people really think, and you can extract what you will from it and improve your photography in the future.

As someone else has mentioned, if you're just looking for "good job, buddy" then 500px.com is the place to live! Everyone is the best photographer on earth there!

But this isn't the place to get a pat on the back. You're going to hear what people really think, and you can extract what you will from it and improve your photography in the future.

As someone else has mentioned, if you're just looking for "good job, buddy" then 500px.com is the place to live! Everyone is the best photographer on earth there!

Especially if you take pictures of pretty girls. It could be 3 stops over or underexposed, but if your model is even moderately attractive, you get all kinds of likes on that site.

Actually there are a lot of judges: clients, critics, your peers, your friends.

And this shot will probably not stand the test of time because of the fact that pretty photos of pretty girls are a dime a dozen. The people who are remembered for their photos are the ones who are admired for their content and not their subject matter. This has more subject matter than content. I can't even begin to dissect a story from this image, except that maybe she saw someone in a chicken suit and her look is saying "da fuq?"

Or she might just be constipated. Or maybe she's being introspective. I honestly have no idea.
