Body or Glass?

I need some help with my decision. All suggestion are very much welcomed!
I've got a D7100, lenses are Tamron 24-70 f2.8 and an Nikor 85mm f1.8 prime.
I going to abroad for a week where I've got the fortune to shoot everyday in studio and on location.
I shoot portrait. I'd like to do the portrait shoot for living from the and of this year.
I've came to that point where I have to decide before I'm going to the one week shoot to build my portfolio, whether I buy a D750 or a 70-200mm f2.8 nikor lens.
I'd like to know in your opinion which one should come first.
Tough decision for me so please share your opinion whit me!

Definitely get the 70-200 2.8, a lot of portrait photographers swear by that lens. But then again, the 85 1.8 is an excellent portrait lens as well. D7100 is a very good camera so I think the smart decision would be to go for the 70-200 while you can, because that lens you'll never need to replace. Its built to last. The only reason you should be thinking about going to the D750 is if you think your D7100 or the DX sensor is limiting you. Hope this helps, cheers!

That is one of Nikon's more recent bodies, and as such has all you should need for several years to come. At this point invest the money for some quality lenses.

For portrait use the D750 will not be better then a D610, main advanatge of the D750 over the D610 is its AF system, in studio environment where AF is not really as important and so is the bigger buffer and extra native ISO of the D750.
So I second, get a used D610 from a good source and a Tamron 70-200mm 2.8 VC
