This is a shot of a Pseudacris ocularis on a Sarracenia flava. It was posed but I did not have long to get the shot because as soon as I would get focused my subject would jump away. It took a few shots to get this one and I am happy with it but would love to get some other opinions. Let me know how I can improve this shot. Thanks.

Nice shot. I am not sure how you would improve it. The flower seems a bit soft around the edges, but that could be the "internet" stuff - jpg conversion (if you did one) and/or size reduction and a monitor display situation. Did you sharpen this one at all?

I did sharpen and dodge the frog but I tried to keep it minimum. The only other PP that I did was boost contrast, clone out sensor dust and crop it. The front rim of the pitcher is soft because of the narrow DoF. The meta data is telling me this was f/18 with 100mm (and a 1.5x crop sensor) at a half meter away. That gives me less than 2 cm of an area in focus right? I probably should have bumped it to f/22 now that I think about it.

Thanks for the compliments though.
