Bokeh help?

I see your 70-200 produces football shaped bokeh like my 80-200 does. I just found one that my 135 f2 also produces footballs... Perhaps it's related to the long narrow Christmas lights found on most light strings these days?

No, it has nothing to do with the shape of the light bulbs but is an inherent quality of the lens. Notice that each of the light shapes is oriented the same way in relation to the lens axis, but not independently oriented the way lights might be.

This shot is a good example to show people that the type of blur (maybe Bokeh ?) is dependent on the lens build.
