Looking for some books that will help us newbies better understand photography. I've been reading the threads and came across a few: "Light: science and magic"
"Understanding exposure"
Feel free to add some! Thanks

There is a sticky thread in beginners forum - the tutorial thread I beloved that has a link to recommended books for beginners.

Melissa..... Pick up understanding Exposure.. It will be the best 35 bucks you will ever spend. I recently grabbed it and am about halfway
through it.. Bryan Peterson makes everything very easy to understand and follow.. I highly recommend it for the first book to buy.

I recommend Bryan Peterson's 'Understanding Photography Field Guide'. The book is the same price as 'Understanding Exposure' and has everything 'Understanding Exposure' has in it (in many cases, word for word) and a lot more. It's a field guide so it's smaller yet thicker that Understanding Exposure which makes it a little easier to carry around with you.

Thank you all!! Netskimmer I will definitely be picking up "Understanding Photography Field Guide".

Out of all the posts requesting books about photography, I think this is the first time I've seen someone recommend a book on the business of photography.
