I actually think there was potential here... had you turned the chair around so it was situated such that someone sitting in it was looking in the same direction as the camera and added a little more real estate image left, it could have worked. As-is, I think a little tweaking w/ highlights & shadows and a bit of a curves adjustment to add some punch to it would help.

It reminds me a snapshot of the neighbor's field. I have several such photos, that seemed like a good idea at the time.

I get it, I do think it's a little too interesting to be really effective. By that I mean if you are going for boring, it has to be really boring. So I'd clone out the windfarm on the horizon and the light and dark grasses in the middle right. There's also a lot of middle grey with a lack of midtone contrast, so I'd bump that up and move the chair slightly more camera right (a bit too much tension created with it that far to the left). maybe burn the sky a touch too.

Seriously I like the image, the peace, the open space. The BW gives a nice time less feel

Over time I have learned that there is no boring picture, only a picture that is boring to the individual.

I learned this after a few visits to some Art Galleries. I was enjoying the detailed intricate brush stroke of a ship riding out a storm in one room, while others were swooning over impressionistic scribbles that would embarrass a third grader.

I concluded there is no boring, bad, poor or ugly picture but there are certainly a lot of unique interpretations of "good".

I don’t think it’s boring at all. The flatness of the landscape and the monochrome is why it works. I wouldn’t change a thing. Print it and put it on the wall
