Boston farmers market

Ron, did you get any pictures of the cool bridge? I can't remember what it was called.

Did you get a tour on the "Duck Boats"?

No bridge pics.

As the bus passed the park the tour guide pointed out the Duck Boats but we did not stop.

Bitter, did you do Plymouth & see the pathetic Plymouth Rock?

We have bigger rocks than that in our yard. I was expecting something like Gibraltar or the cost of Newfoundland.

ROFLMAO! No I didn't see that pebble. Thanks for the pic, though, now I won't feel the need to. LOL

I don't believe it was the size of the rock that was particularly noteworthy. :)

Zakim Bridge eh.

Ive seen several cable-stay bridges but never worked on one. Ive worrked on hundreds of others though.

For Boston, that's pretty edgy architecture. :)

Cable-stay bridges are very pleasing to view. Do you remember string art pictures in the sixties? Reminiscent I think.

Yeah, but, all my life I was told the pilgrims landed ON Plymouth Rock. I, and I am sure millions, were lead to believe it was a massive rock. That is merely a stone.

Here is the Giant Macaroni. Maybe it wasn't a permanent thing, but a roaming 'roni.

I must admit I had the same reaction when I saw it.

Mom: "look chris! Plymouth Rock!"
Chris: "Errrr... Really? That???"

I still don't entirely buy that it's the actual rock but rather some small boulder that the historical society decided to call plymouth rock and bolted a plaque to. Lol

Still it's more a representation of the end of one harsh journey, the beginning of another, and all to attain freedom from oppressions. Good stuff.

The Giant Macaroni was not there when we were.

You would be lucky if a pair of gulls could land on that rock. Plymouth was actually the second "landing" for the Pilgrims according to our guide. They stayed a while at the first location & decided it was not a good location for a settlement & then moved on to Plymouth. Also, there was a settlement by merchants prior to the Pilgrims but it did not last. I think he said @ Providence.

This is a reconstruction of the Mayflower.
