My friend and I took a 3-day weekend last week and we conquered the entire lower New England. We covered Boston area on foot and greeted the whales. Then we headed to Plymouth where there was nothing but things to fool tourists. After that we drove west to Providence where it was really creepy and we thought that those "people" we saw on the streets are indeed possessed or aliens in disguise. It was a feeling beyond description. Just plain weird.

What was wierd about the people in Providence/..great set of shots..Took a look at your links as well/.

It's hard to describe. The town was kind of spotty in terms of crowd... I mean it's not big. There are many restaurants but not many people. It's like 60% of the population has been abducted or something. Parts of the town looks new, but parts look run down. Take the "capital hill" for example, the building looked redone, but there were weeds growing all over from the floor cracks. It's not about age, it's about whether people have been there.

We walked into the mall and there was no lobby like a regular mall, just parking structure. Then on the second floor was bed bath and beyond and nothing else. We tried to find a rest room but there wasn't any.

It's just very weird, not just physically but psychologically too. It was Sunday afternoon, but was really surreal.
