Congrats on your camera.

Id say you need to work on your composition a bit before you start snaping away.

1. To me it just looks like a big blur, nothing is in focus and not much interest is in the photo.

2. Your on the right track, since the fountain holds no immediate interest to the eye, you should try composing it with another main subject, perhaps a structure of some-sort (building etc...)

3. I don't understand what you where aiming for here

6. On the right track, but you need to asses more things in your photo before snaping away. Like that person doesn't really hold any interest to the picture so you should have waited for the person to leave, you also should have lined everything up so it is symmetrical, because it is crooked.

When you take a picture you need to sit down and ask your self, if the image is going to make sense to you and others who view it and of course if has meaning behind it.

Start a study of visual image composition:
Guidelines for Better Photographic Composition: Introduction

Begin learning about the technical aspects of doing photography. Here is a good place to start learning some basics: How Do I Use My Digital SLR? and for more advanced subjects visit Cambridge in Colour - Photography Tutorials & Learning Community and read all the tutorials.

Tanx guys. That's why I'm here to learn.
