Like it. Only nit is it would be nice to see the tree better. I tend to squint to see what it is.

Thanks Rick ... I've been thinking of blacking that part out ... the tree looked cool when I shot it, but it's kind of starting to annoy me.

But the window in the railing itself is nice! It's details like those wonderful cracks that photographers notice!

I wonder if HDR would help. I've been playing around with HDR lately and it's good at this dual exposure stuff for the background tree.

Exactly, the cracks are what drew me to it ... I've been driving by this thing everymorning for four months, LOL.

I may even reshoot it, because there's a clay-colored railing above that I couldn't crop in (because I had to rotate in post).

It works pretty well as is. It would look strange, or even "fake" either with the opening blacked out or using HDR. You could double process the raw file, once for highlights and once for shadows, and combine, and that would give you more detail in the opening, but that would make it more obvious that the tree is out-of-focus. Taking this from further to the right would have made the cracked concrete occupy more of the frame and the opening less, which may or may not have been better - just a thought.
