Budding Photographers

This weekend my roommate and I babysat his nephews. It's been several months since I broke out my strobes or really any serious photo gear at all, so I decided to get some casual photos of the kids using the wall of my apartment as a background.

Well, of course, after a few shots they got bored of just sitting there and began requesting a camera so they could take pictures of me, so I gave them my X100S set on aperture priority and an empty memory card. It was a fun afternoon.

They're still on the card in the camera. I'll probably Dropbox them to their parents either today or tomorrow along with these. I looked through them and there are some pretty good ones in there.

Well, as we have all learned; those shots belong to the children, and rexbobcat cannot post anything that is not his.

I love this idea. Letting them have fun like this lets their true personality show through.

Reminds me of this one...My 5 year old sees me running around with a camera all the time and likes to follow suit. This is out eagle watching along the river. Not the greatest shot/processing, etc. but it's a very fond memory.
