I went out to drag the trash bins out back, and noticed this pair had camped out under the trees in the front yard. Looks like they have little castles. The first two images were taken with a Kodak Pixpro AZ528 which I purchased to take on a trip. We are traveling very light, so I needed something lightweight with a decent zoom. The rest are taken with my Canon R7 with the Tamron 18-400mm. That lens alone weighs more than the Kodak.

Mild winter resulted in a bumper crop of bunnies in my 'hood. All sorts of measures taken to keep the little dears from clear cutting and girdling pricey flora. Cute when they're not in the family's gardens. You'll possibly recall what happened to Peter Rabbit's Dad?

They tend to stay out of the back yard. Some sort of contractual agreement with the dogs...

Thanks! I've named them Beatrice and Benjamin. :) They seem to be very comfy in the front yard.
Any of your neighbours have cats, you see any around?

At the garden nursery yesterday i found a smallish bronze Peter Rabbit toking on a pipe. If it wasn't for that wheel/steering alignment i would've got it. Was AU$160.

Gonna ask if i can layby it when im there next.

We've an over-supply of critters: squirrels, chipmunks, skunks, trash pandas(AKA raccoons), rabbits and the occasional fox and coyote. Friends are trying to like the return of beaver along streams on their land.

More critters, less humans👍. Wish we had squirrels and chipmunks here...

Very nice - looks like they have plenty of grass too, guess you won't need to do mowing any more?

No you don't! Seem to be visa issues shipping a cratefull to you, though...
Just 2 of each is enough, they seem like to much fun so im definitely jealous of you lot that get to interact with'em.

I can imagine myself training a squirrel🤪.

Cats and small dogs have a short life expectancy after sunset, so no stray cats out at night. The bobcats and coyotes will catch and eat them before the sun rises the next day. The rabbits seem to be able to avoid being caught.
