Had a good layover today and got some good shots. They were all taken in a backlot I had avoided in the past due to a "NO Trespassing" sign. I actually stopped and asked for permission today and the old lady that lived there was more than happy to let me walk through the lot.

Here's the first, probably the most abstract.

I like the textures and tonal range, and also the contrast with the background, but the OOF area in the upper right bothers me. I don't mind the lower part of the saw edge going OOF, but the upper right is just too much in my face. There are some crops you could do to minimize it, or perhaps you have some images from different angles you could work with. It's a great subject.

The second shot works much better for me too.
I like the interplay between the verticals in the background and the edge of the saw.

Ask and ye shall receive. And no, it's not selective color. The background just really is that washed out and colorless.

Mask the blade, do a change color and a levels adjustment on the background ...there's some fun stuff in there.
