please let me know what you think, i think on the second one, the lamp shouldnt have been cut off, but what do you guys think of these?

#1 is good. I like the composition and it makes me feel, a little dizzy
#2 could be great. I like the subject. You already commented on clipping off the top of the lamp. That kills it. Other than that I like the composition. Did you use a tripod? The moon looks to have a slight camera shake. It could be the OOF blur...

Yes; you know what went wrong in #2; but #1 is fine

I don't care for either.

In #1 the angle is too extreme for me, and you cut off a corner in the bottom left.
In #2 you cut off a part of the lamp, and you lack a clear subject composition, I mean why is that underexposed building in there at all?! If you want the lamp to be the focus, then find away to make it interesting and focus on just it with a more complimentary back ground.

#1 does not do much for me
