Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Hi all,
I am new to this forum, but I have been searching searching trying to find what people charge when they first start out making people pay. I have done a photo shot of two children of a friend, that I did for free. Now she wants a family shoot, but insists that she is paying. I have no idea what to charge her. I have been searching for people asking the same question and I can not find really an exact answer. I researched what professionals charge out in the area(Temecula, CA) and it ranges from $200 and up depending on the package. I do not want to charge her that much we both are military and I know things are tight, I believe that I am good, but I am still in the learning process. What would be a good price??? It is a family of 4, and I know the session will probably be at least 2 hours because of the children. Below I have attached some photos of my work because I have noticed that when people ask similar questions people ask to see work if its even worth to charge. So here ya go :) None of these photos have been edited with photoshop or a similar program because when I did these shoots I did not have, but now do. So I do know that some could use a little more work post work. Some C&C would be great to if anyone has any input, I am always looking for opinions on what could be better. Thanks :)

There is no exact answer. Charge whatever the traffic will bear.

All of your photos have lighting issues. Specifically, the need for supplimental and fill lighting for separating your subjects from the background.

Avoid direct sunlight, and dappled sunlight.

you'll get 30 minutes because of the children that young.

I charge $125 for the first hour, $35 per 15 minutes for children
