C&C: "Bench of Solitude"

Taken yesterday. I'm mainly concerned about the background. Is the subject isolated enough for others' taste? For me it is, so curious on other input.

Not especially..there's a tree trunk behind it, in the line-of-sight. If you'd shifted position to the right, you could have utilised the gap between the trees.

I agree and you could have gotten more of the bench shadow as well.

Compositionally I would much prefer more empty space in front of the bench than so much behind it, and agree with the above comments as well.

Considering your title it seems you should have more empty space around the bench and if that were the case then a shallow dof wouldn't be so necessary... maybe a wide angle to emphasis space around the bench?

Thanks for the comments all. I may try to re-shoot this one next weekend, I like the concept so wouldn't mind trying a better execution.
