Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
A few weeks ago on Martin Luther King Jr. Day I went up to Tucson and went to the University Medical Center where they had Representative Giffords at the time to check out the memorial thing they had going on out front. I think these are a few OK ones from the hundreds I took, I got what I can. I welcome any comments, thanks.

Good job on the shots, such a tragic event.

Yeah I was really thinking that too. Very confusing with all the different colors and things going on.

I got to thinking, with all those colors, and this being a memorial, I thought maybe it would look good in b&w to give it some feel and tone it down. here's a quick rendition of what I came up with......

They feel more like casual snaps to me. I think given the enormity of the event, there could be more emotion in the shots. Not having been there and seen this for myself, the balloons and flowers and bright colours seem almost carnival-like. Not at all representative of the loss and tragedy which happened there. Does that make sense?

The B&W one Rockstar did is better than the colours as it's not so "distracting" (if that's the right word), but the whites still seem blown out and the lady is too much in darkness to be a focal point. But I think if you take his idea and work with it to get the contrasts right, you could have a better shot.

Thanks everyone for C&C. I thought about doing them B&W, but when I changed a few I thought at first that it sorta took away from the photos, but I see now how much better the one Rockstar did looks. Lemme throw 'em into Photoshop again and see what I come up with.
