Can others edit my Photos

C+C welcome! I have a tough skin so let me know. This was my first time shooting in the water. I didnt use a flash or reflector (in hindsight it might have been better to have the subject brighter). I really enjoyed this and I would like to do another one before the summer is over. Any tips are much appreciated.

I like the sunset. Im unsure about the boat in the backround. I think it adds to the photo but Im unsure if it takes away from the subject/too distracting. Also by lightening the photo i got a nice halo....(not what i wanted). How would i get rid of that or avoid it all together?

I moved in this one to get rid of the boat. The sunset is not as vibrant however i think the details in the water compensate for it.

I think this photo is a bit moody (which is what I wanted) but im wondering if it is overdone?

C&C per req:

1. Very nice - you're right a little bit of front fill light would have helped things (and alleviated the halo effect), but, assuming you shot in RAW, you should be able to recover enough detail. I'm not really a fan of the boat though, IMO, it sort of ruins the whole 'lady in the lake' appearance.

2. I'm not as fond of this one; the much more evident detail of the far shore, and the blown highlights on her dress and right hand kill this one for me.

3. This one just missed I think. I would like to see a little detail in the hat, and the boats in more clear focus (since that's what she appears to be looking at).

Overall, these are very nice images. Don't forget that Graduated ND and polarizing filters can REALLY help improve out door, water-related images.

Just my $00.02 worth - your mileage may vary.

yeah i think the boat is distracting. but #2 looks overexpose on her dress and underexpose in her face. reflector would have help or a flash just for fill. I like #3 the best but i think the black on her hat is a bit too dark..

They seem a tad soft, I think it's because you were shooting at 1.8(for the first one anyway, her hand is oof and her dress is soft). I also am not a fan of the boat in the first one. I do however enjoy the last one :)
