C&C: Lonely Birch

I'm not too sure about the treatment, but I sort of like it. I like it the more I look at it.
Anyway, looking for some good criticism, if someone would like to share their opinions

I may be alone here, but I REALLY like this. It almost has an old glass plate feel.

The crown, that is the uppermost part of the tree, is lost against the hill in the background. And that house is distracting me a bit. Otherwise, it's very nice! I'd try re-shooting from a different perspective.

I like the processing but not the composition.

The tree just gets lost.

What did you do in PP?

Low clarity, bw conversion, play with contrast/blacks, sharpen. All in ACR, frame in PS.
