Nicely executed. The only suggestion I might make would be to place a small kicker behind him to act as a hair/head light. The way his dark hair blends into the background is a bit odd IMO.

the idea was a sort of, walking out of the shadows

1 flash with soft box hard right

1 black reflector front left

1 flash with honeycomb and barndoors aiming the upper back
