Feel free to go through my website and look at the others if you want to help me some more .

Thanks,

Number one is kinda an awkward pose, the lighting looks good but i would have lowered my aperture to throw those bushes/trees OOF. Number 2 is good lighting, maybe try a grid on your light and let the background falloff to create somemore separation for the subject. Number 3 he has a tree growing out of his head... Number 4 needs a little more fill especially in the eyes. One of the things you may need to constantly think about is "head in a clean spot." this will make your subjects so much more stable in the composition and allow for separation from the background. Also, try to control your aperture more and throw distracting backgrounds OOF.

First off, Thanks for the strong Crititque.
Now number one I do completely agree on the awkward pose, I just wanted to use the lines in the brick wall. I just didn't know exactly where to go posture wise for him. Any advice there ?
Number two, I was only using the sun as my light source, but what exactly do you mean 'try agrid on my light' ?
Number three, I like his pose but the only thing that distracts me is the tree like you mentioned.. But I tried taking the tree out and keep just sky. and it didn't look so well, so i think im going to try and fill it in with a nice sky with clouds or something.

Ear-rings in uniform (or whatever they're called)????

Lol, I thought the same thing when I was taking his pictures. So i asked him if he wanted some with them out and he said no... I guess he hasn't learned that much from boot camp. :er:
