C&C please a favourite from some mini sessions I had last weekend

You need to clone out that hanging piece of fabric that dangles from the upper right hand corner. It is a cute picture! The first shot looks a bit flat on the lighting, the second and third revisions look a bit over-worked on the eyes and lips to me, but DO HAVE more "snap" and more "sparkle", but it looks too much like it's been done in post...I honestly think not every picture needs to have "the eyes" as the immediate Magnetic North, as it were. When too much emphasis is created on the eyes, it can distract the viewer from the totality of the picture, and in this instance, this pictures if about her, her hat, and the tea party,

Oh gosh, since I started writing there has been yet another edit!

Well, whatever you did, it gave her those freaky-looking alien eyes, with a BLACK circle around the iris of the eye, and ridiculously bright catchlights on the eyeballs...it looks seriously over-worked.

Agree with Dan, and I'll add there's a bit of a colour cast from the hat, other than that it's a cute capture!

how would you correct the colour cast?

If you have a raw file and Lightroom, just do use the selective correction tool to correct the child's skin, if not, you could try dialing down the red channel slightly, or creating a duplicate layer, correcting the bottom and then erase the area around the child in the upper.

What's this "selective correction tool" you talk of?
