C&C Please?

[Nolan]

Initially I had this photo(look bellow, #1). In my mind it was okay. However it didn't please me 100%. So I took a crack at it in Photoshop CS4 to change the composition and subject matter a bit to my liking. The final product is #2. Any C&C is appreciated. Tell me what you think of the changes. Was it for the better or the worse? Thanks for the help.

I think I like the edited version better...

But it looks a bit too over-exposed hor my tastes....
