2- would you leave the big brother in or crop him out?

I know I have lighting issues, still dont know how to use lighting, but again, am open to all c&c

I would def crop the brother out. As a mother, yes, I'd like that just to keep in a photo album but as a photographer I wouldn't try to charge someone for that nor would I pay for the shot. Cute kids though!

oh, I'd never dream of actually charging for my work...I'm nowhere near good enough. hard though sometimes to objectively view shots of my kids. *I* love this one, but was wondering how it appears to others.

1.......Yes :hug:: I'm sure you have an emotional attachment to the shot. You also know why she was making that face and what she was watching. Now me, I just see a cute kid making a face. It's more of a snapshot to me. If you like it and it means something to you, that's great!
2........I'm not excited about his face being cut off. In the future, I would try to pay a little more attention to how you compose your picture.
