#1 quite nice, would nicely fit in your family album
#2 would be fine too, but it seems your WB is off

a bit of reflection on the album on #1. The photo hanging on the wall behind (can crop it out) and the hangers or whatever (can clone them out) are quite annoying but they can be removed.
#2, good use of ambient light and this photo is really effective because she is doing something that she normally does at home (well, I assume).

I really like both pictures. For improvement I would suggest:

Picture 1: Heal out the hook and partial picture frame on the wall. Since you shot in portrait orientation, your flash was on the left - casting a shadow to the right. That shadow can be reduced by light modifiers, or maybe a flash bracket quick flip. It is a nice picture.

Picture 2: Has a nice composition, I like the window light which reduced the flash shadowing as well. I think this picture needs a hint more contrast and a white balance correction.
