As it was suggested in my previous overwhelmed thread to me, I created a new one looking for some critique on these shots. I picked these, because I take them as a presentation for what I have worked on in the means of overall "photographic eye", exposition and composition during the 1 year of occasional shooting. These are from today, all taken in aperture priority mode.

2 - Iam kind of aware of too much lightning in the left far part, it was really shiny and I liked the pic anyways though.

Looking forward to hearing something on them as Iam interested if I progressed during the time.

#1 - Too many things ... my eye wanders too much. You should try cropping, to concentrate on something.
#2 - The watering can needs more tonal separation from the background.
#3 - The sign appears to be the primary subject ... but the rest of the scene is not complimenting or contrasting with it ... so it appears lost in space ... somehow the arrow is important. You could have used that arrow in a different viewpoint.
#4 - I have to say that this is not exciting.

Seems like things to focus on next time. Thanks, I will try to return to the places and try a different approach.

I think the last one is pretty good - well framed and has some interesting texture and pattern. I agree with the previous poster that the first is a little busy and needs to be re-shot or cropped, and that the other two don't really hang together.

I'd like to comment on #2.... dxq recommended more tonal separation from the background which would work to isolate the subject. I think it would be an interesting shot if the wall continued upward and there was no greenery. Because the can is so similar to the wall is what makes it interesting to me, but the shrub kills it.

I agree that #2 and #3 are a bit lacking, but I think the first one is the strongest of the set. It shows the character of the old building in a way that I don't think would come through if you were to crop out a small part of it.

Thanks for the thoughts, always nice to hear different opinions. I will have more in near future.
