Hey I was bored and saw some flowers that looked pretty and I thought I would take a photo of them.

In some of them there is too much background which is distracting. I'm thinking of no 1 in particular, you need to crop most of the background out. the fact that you are using narrow DOF doesn't make it less distracting. No2 you've chopped off part of the flower off and it looks a little over exposed.

A general point not aimed solely at you, but there are a lot of people posting pictures in the beginner's section with watermarks or labels saying xxxxx photography/xxxxxximages. Are these pro's posting in the beginner's section or beginners giving themselves professional names? It should in my opinion be your images that say 'pro' rather than the label. Bot meaning to be a snob or anything just a general point/query

I like 5 the best. On 2, you chopped part of the flower off in the photo. 3 too much angle not showing the lovliness of the flower

I agree that you missed the composition on #2. #3 and #6 are nicely taken but the flowers are a little ragged (past their peak).

#4 is perfect. A great flower well taken :thumbup:

1) I would like to see this tighter. All the extra room around the flower makes me wonder if I am supposed to be looking for something else in the photo.

2) It looks to me like you were trying to get the bee and forgot to make sure the flower was all in the frame. At least that is what has happened to me many times.

3) I can see sunlight hitting something in the background, but this flower is in the shade. I would suspect picking a flower in the sun would bring the color out a lot more

4&5) I love the flower and the bright color. Not sure the fence in the background is what I would expect in a shot like this.

6) Not the prettiest of flowers for this close of a shot. I also don't like the shadows.
