These are a few photos I just got done enlarging. What do you think?

First shot, staircase, looks good to me. Did you bounced light off the wall ?
Second stairs, in the park, look to grayish, separation of tones is low, green filter would be helpful. Or filter in the color of the stairs. It simply lacks any brilliance.

Thanks Timor. First shot was not bounced flash. I just used the standard flip-up flash. I can probably just burn in that right corner a few more seconds. I used a #4 contrast filter on the enlarger, and it darkens rather quickly with that filter. Maybe I'll switch it to a #0 and burn that side in on Friday.

The second photo I used a #2 1/2 contrast filter. Maybe I'll switch to the #2 filter on Friday. Maybe that'll help it out a little?

I very often burn with softer filter especially hard highlights. In your case it should help a lot. With the second photo I think you should go up to #3 1/2 to increase the contrast.

I was planning to go into the darkroom today but they closed it up for the semester.

Oh well. I got my final project back and scanned/posted them up if your interested in seeing them. Titled: Abandoned. I got a B+. Def after seeing the stairway picture next to the others, I should've used at least #3-1/2 contrast filters on all of them. They look so flat compared to the stairway picture. Oh well, it's a learning process. Can't wait to learn digital now!

Don't know if your into digital at all Timor, but can I carry over what I've learned from film as far as the processing an image, or the "look" of an image, to digital? For example, using photoshop? Or is it totally different? Can I change the contrast, etc.? Thanks for anyone who comments on the subject. I mean, I know you can change contrast, etc. Obviously. I guess I just mean, since I've learned film and process, does it make it easier in digital?

Off course I and others who took a part in discussion would like to see your finished project. B+ is not bad I think.
I am not into digital photography as long as goes my hobby. I use digital for everything else: family, vacations, parties etc. I even have Dslr for that purpose as digital p&s drove my crazy with delayed shutter action, but that ends here, no insights in PS or other software workings.

Yeah not my best grade, but I think it came out much better then what it was before I spoke to you guys.
