C&C: Portrait of an Innocent Girl

I like it! And...who says it's blood? It could be.. motor oil..Maybe she was working on her car. :P

That's what I liked about it. Making it look like, or actually using fake blood, removes many possible stories.

That is exactly what I wanted! Strong female, ambiguous, dramatic, dirty. It was never intended to be malicious, that is up to the viewer to decide. That is why I picked the title I did :)

And there is something to be said for doing something that is not freaking LITERAL.

I like the shot. The skin tone is very nice. The splatters dont do it for me.

You could change the splatter white to stop all the squeamish people from complaining. Jk jk

I like the image, although after seeing the original I would almost consider it an excercise in graphic art rather than photography.

I like the updated image with the additional empty space above, but I also like Quentin Tarantino. Have you seen Nikki Sixx's work(from Motley Crue fame)? It's a little out there and not for the faint of heart.

Personally I'm digging the over the top splatter. Great Shot! Thanks for sharing.

I had no idea it was blood, I thought she had been riding her bike to work and rode past a pack of travelling gentlemen, tarmacing the road so haphazardly, that she became splattered in the stuff. Also, she really should nip that nose band to the shape of her nose, the mask will be neither use nor ornament worn as it is.

I think the only thing it's missing is a chainsaw blade on the left side (like she's holding it, with it pointed up and away).

The blood does look kinda dark though... That spot on her lower neck (right on her necklace) needs to go - it's just doesn't look right.

edit
I didn't see the 2nd photo when I wrote that. It looks much better now. Still needs some chainsaw action though.
