Hey everyone,

I'd love to get some comments and/or critiques on a wedding I just shot. This was, as the title states, my second wedding, and I feel as if it went fairly well (normally means the opposite). I posted a discussion thread about that one, which can be found HERE, if you'd like to see a comparison. The lighting inside this old courthouse was pretty horrible and the walls and ceiling were all yellow, so bouncing flash was difficult as well.

Anyway, here are a couple of my favorites from the wedding!

Sorry for there being so many, I just couldn't narrow it down!

Thanks for taking the time to read this, and thank you in advance for your C&C!

They are okay. That is my immediate reaction. The first 3 could be tossed because of really poor composition, and #6 is just blah. There is a wedding photographer named Susan Stripling. Look her up today, and go through some of her work. You will notice that the way she uses composition will literally drag you into the scene and make you want to be at that wedding. None of your images show a creative use of DOF. That might really help add some interest too.

I am rather fond of #4, looks like he ate some bad fish. That's just the sort of look that says, "Oh crap, I think I just realized what I signed up for here".. lol

Have to go with Kathy on the first 3, which is a shame because I really like the bride's facial expression in #1.

#5 the background was a much better choice than #4 - not sure about the cropping though.

#6 - well keep in mind that I am : #1 no photography expert, #2 not a wedding photographer and #3 a bit of a loon but really this one just leaves me a little confused. My gut reaction here is "is this supposed to be wide angle?" You've got a ton of room at both the top and bottom of the shot and yet when you look at the sides it seems cramped. Think this one would have benefited from having the camera rotated 90 degrees and just shot wide angle instead.

Just my 2 cents worth of course, YMMV
