Alright, Round two.

The area I am really concerned with is composition, but if anything else strikes you, by all means let me have it. I am posting the medium resolution for these images, if you would like to see the shot in it's full 6.0 megapixel glory (Cannon P.o.S P&S), I'll post it for you.

#1
Very little postwork, just upped the contrast and sat.

Zero post. This is one of the very few pics of the space needle that I like. (I'm not a big fan of the space needle)

Protip: Don't take pics of the sunset from the top of a mountain when there is a very short twilight and you don't have a flashlight.

I had a bit of trouble getting the mountain to separate from the sky.
+10 Internets to whoever guesses the name of this mountain.

there are a few too many to give any real specific c&c but #1 is the best.

#3 and 7 do it for me. I like that light hovering action and #7 looks like its a photo from a scary movie.

I got lucky w/ #3, I had been shooting from that bridge for about an hour and was getting cold (very damp seattle night), the rain had just started to pick up and I was about to pack it up for that loc then decided to try to get one more shot, I couldn't see when cars were coming, so I had to guess when to start the shot.

I like #7 best but think you cropped out a bit too much off the right hand side and also the horizon is totally off.

I do like #1, but I think it would've been a little better if I could have seen some more of the sun just peeking out from that tree. Number 2 is interesting, I won't say whether I like it or not, but it's a really interesting effect. Something different from the normal photos of the Space Needle. I do like #3, I've always been a fan of car light trails, and I like the low-down view so you can see the tarmac as well. I liky number 4 a little, but I think there's too much lens flare in the photo; to me, it detracts from the silhouette. I also like #9, but the photo is very, very grainy.

One day I'll get a grown-up camera and won't be hindered by the limitations of my little camera (it shoots grainy even with the ISO down around 80), but until then, what are some tips/techniques/styles for getting the most out of my little camera. I installed the CHDK hacks and that lets me shoot in raw and gives me much more control, but it's still a P.o.S. P&S.

I like #7 the best - it would be killer if it were level.

^^ +1

7 made me go "wow". Level that sucker and print it and hang it on the wall. Best of the group, hands down.

i like the space needle one, interesting unique view.. oh and 8 seems out of focus/wrong focus point
