ahhh cant figure out how to post the pictures... lol if anyone can do it or show me how to do it lol

Thevisual How To Post to TPF guideline post was about three years out of date the last time I checked. What needs to be done is to preface each URL with on the left of the url. The URL should end in .JPG

and then on the right hand side, end with

and then photos should embed themselves in the post.

so,

Woops, never seen it do that...

Anyways I really like the one on the park bench.
As for the rest I really don't like the settings, and in the last two the brick wall really kills any chance at having a interesting setting.

nice pics, glad somebody post them here or i would have never seen them.

i like the clarity in them and the color is nice (although the middle one in the first set is a little too soft to be a close up), but i'm not fond of her spread eagle in the chair... the way you've centered the frame my eyes go straight to her crotch instead of her gorgeous face.... so it kinda has a little raunchy-ness to it. Not so bad on the first one, but the 2nd one it's really stripper to me... i dont like the pose at all. Too much shadow on the b&w's from the hat... maybe get a light source to bounce off a reflector on the ground to highlight her face while wearing it. And this might just be me seeing crazy things, but the one where she's lying down on the park bench... looks like she has a booger in her nose.... :p

lol yeah she comes off very sexual... she has never really done any poses before an i havent learn to much on telling a girl what to do with her body for photos. So were both still kinda learning an now im more comfortable around her so were gonna try some different stuff later on this weekend. some more glamour type shots. yes she does have something in her nose i tried taking it out an it started to piss me off so i said the hell with it...not my nose:lol:

I like them, you have a cute model and a nice idea.

There are any number of technical or compositional things I might do differently, but the most important constructive criticism I'd like to express is to shoot with a longer lens. You're very close to the model, shooting at the wide end of your lens. You need to shoot longer, from further away. Right now the images have an odd distortion because it is wider than the human eye can see. Try an 85mm lens, of if you prefer zooms take a look at a 70-200mm lens.

Keep shooting!

Actually iron flatline i was using a tamron 18-200 lol it was the first place we stopped from the top of the parking garage. Like i said i was still kinda nervous then she started opening up more and more... is there a way to get a better depth of field or do i just need to back up an zoom in really good? i would like to figure out a better way to really blue the background without having to keep stepping back.. ive got a canon rebel xti if that helps i been shooting in manual should i try something else?

i totally understand. i took some pics for a friend as practice and i look back at them and I'm like "why did I not tell her to differently" and stuff like that... even though I was pleased with the way they turned out and she liked them, now I'm like "man if i can just reshoot" or something... lol! i think we as new photographers get so intimidated my not establishing a solid connection with our model that we forget, if we don't direct how we want our pictures to look, we are hurting ourselves... its OUR pictures and our work of art, they are just in it! lol!

I was watching a series on the Kelby Training online and Joe McNally had a few tips how he establishes that trust and confidence with his models... he made a good point... most people don't like having their picture taken and they are fun and happy but when you put the camera in front of their face they freeze and get awkward! its so true! but he said if we can show confidence in that we will make them look beautiful and capture their best assets, then they will naturally become more at ease and easier to work with. I guess it comes with time and experience, something I don't have yet!

Keep up the good work, she is a cute girl and photographs lovely! use her again if she's willing!

Woohoo! glad that booger is gone! i wasn't sure if there was just something on my screen or what...
