C&C welcome on this shoot

Here's a few shots of one of my friends in Downtown Athens, Georgia. There's not much variation in these shots, but let me know what ya'll think!

I think that her skin is overexposed in these.

Being a redhead it's quite possible she has very light skin.

There's no numbers on the photos but the one I checked that looked most like being over exposed, the skin exposure was indeed over exposed, but not blown out.

I use Camera Raw to check Caucasian skin exposure. Correctly exposed skin highlights will be between 235 and 240 in the RGB red channel. In the photo I checked the red channel was 252 to 254. 255 is the maximum value for a channel or 'blown out'.

FWIW - putting some white space between photos really helps with their presentation and numbered photos aid C&C if more than 2 photos are posted. Not everyone's screen is set to the same pixel dimensions. So what I see as 1 row of 4 photos above a row of 3 photos may be displayed on someone else's screen as 3 rows of 3 or some other combination.

Is this just a fun shoot or a paid shoot?

Color, clarity all look good. What I don't like: too many similar frames. Parts cut off at awkward spots. I think the one thing that is really hard for some is understanding or natively feeling how a subject should be positioned in the frame. There are rules and guidelines. Other than that, these are nice snaps of a pretty girl, certainly.

A couple of things stand out for me as areas for improvement: The background is VERY busy and distracting, as well as having blown-out areas which pull the eye from the model (remember: the brighter the light, the more it will pull the eye). Using a longer lens and larger aperture would have helped reduce this, and adding some supplemental light would have allowed you to 'knock down' the background exposure a couple of stops eliminating the blown areas. The other issue are all of the cropped "bits"; bits of foot, bits of finger, bits of hand... while it is acceptable to crop limbs, it should never be done at/near/through a joint or along a limb's axis. Also, don't forget to level in post.

Your light looks fine to me I can still see details some people's lighting styles are different I like to over expose the skin a slight bit when I take my photos. I do agree with Trevor though I think these pictures would have looked better if the models feet weren't cut off.
